Tried and Made It!

After "trying" so hard, he finally made it!

Alexander, my firstborn, turned 4 on Sunday! It's hard to even imagine life without him! I can't believe he was once this little...He's turned into quite the little man. He is so compassionate and really wants to help me out. He prides himself on trying to "enforce" the house rules on everyone else. We're working with him on this since, sometimes in his eagerness, he goes a bit overboard.

He can also be a bit on the "dramatic side... :)

Xander is quite inquisitive and always talking. I was slightly afraid when I found out he was a boy, that our home would be filled with strong, silent types and I would have no one to talk too about mundane and silly things. But all of my worries were in vain. I get a play-by-play of EVERYTHING! In fact, sometimes I need to remind myself to be grateful that he is such a wonderful communicator. :)

He also delights in surprises and regularly comes up to us with something hidden behind his back and makes us guess what it is. The "unveiling" is always quite dramatic!

And finally, this kids LOVES to play! :)
