Tucked away in the middle of a grove of sweet smelling creosote, picking pumpkins… Yup, that’s a desert fall for you.
The Great Pumpkin Festival at the Desert Botanical Garden was amazing. The boys loved EVERY aspect of our day! We met a few friends and took a hayride out to our creosote grove and turned the boys loose to search for their perfect pumpkin!
In honor of the event, I dressed the boys in overalls so they could ‘pretend’ to be farmers! I’m just a bit obsessed with color coordinating the boys when we are out. It just makes it so much easier to keep track of them!
Mini petting zoo’s are perfect for mini people. I was amazed at how much “love” those poor animals put up with. Keegan’s favorite animals were the piglets!
Xander loved the donkey!
Exiting the pumpkin patch was a bit tricky. I ended up carrying both pumpkins and the diaper bag while carrying Trey on my back - all while managing to coral two kids onto and off of a hayride and finding our stroller again! As we left, I still had a smile on my face and no one was melting down yet. For three boys and a mommy, that is a success!
Thanks Christine and Zane for the invite!
Oh, what fun!! Send pics! MiMa
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun day.
ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned how cute little boys look in overalls sans t-shirts!?!?!? :-) And Keegan's hair is getting long again!
What an AWESOME picture of the gang. Might need to get this one from you.
