Confession Time...

I'm blaming this on genetics...

My mom's weakness was Diet Coke (aka 'mom pop').  Mine is cookies.

  1. Oh dear me, mine is cookies too.. and cake and...
Perhaps these could be part of the habit removal as well? :)
Thanks for your comment. In your conviction, I was convicted all over again! Boy, these bearing one another's burdens thing really works, doesn't it? :)
I'd love to hear more about the difficult changes you've made.

  2. Thank you soooo much for sharing those details about your changes. It's very similar with me because the Lord asked me to step away from my photography business to focus more. It was difficult to hear but I prayed that He would remove the desire for it and He did. Since then, life has been much slower and more focused. I wish I could say I've obeyed and taken a real advantage of the extra time but this is where the new habits come in.

That's great that you are memorizing Colossians. I got to verse 4 and am now struggling. All of life is a discipline, isn't it? Obedience. So very, very important. If we could only understand the rewards for this are amazing!

    Have a great day!

  3. But we are just doing it for their good. :-)

I remember my mom always said FOR EVERYTHING that she did that I was not allowed to do: "It will stunt your growth." Definitely in the genes here.

So when our kids are grown ups they can decide to ingest as many worthless or harmful products ... white sugar and/or carbonated drinks... as they want!

  4. I don't remember any cookies around your house? You know Pa would find them!

  5. Heather - thanks, friend!

    Simple Joys - so true.

Mima, I'm cunning... I keep a stash of frozen dough balls in the freezer that can be baked at a moments notice! Once baked, they don't last long around here. ;)
